They offer everything from time and date standards to chronograph dials for the most accurate time keeping and so much more.
You will want to take a look at several factors before making a decision on what the bet tactical watch for you is. There are so many brands with so many different features to offer – and price can also be a major factor when making a final decision. Just be sure you take the time to consider all your options – you don’t want to pass up on a needed feature!
In order to help you out in your search for a tactical watch, we’ve taken the time to look at four different watches for you. These were all highly rated and have excellent customer reviews – and their features are spectacular for anyone sorts of outdoorsmen.
Tactical Digital Watch Review:
The G-Shock series is probably the best known of all Casio tactical watches. There are many different styles of this particular watch – but this one is highly rated and loved by pretty much everyone who’s ever bought one. Casio’s G-Shock series are all solar powered – meaning you will likely never have to change the battery in this watch, making the high price tag extremely worth it.
When it comes to features, this particular G-Shock has everything you could possibly need. It offers a digital display that keeps up with time down to the second – it also offers a nifty digital compass feature and it’s the only one on our list with that accessory. It would definitely come in handy for those who enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, biking and boating where having a good sense of direction can be vital.
The entire watch is almost all black – but this doesn’t affect its readability. Everything is clearly set up in an easy-to-read manner, the band is made of a carbon fibre insert and the casing is made of a strong black resin material. It is also waterproof up to 600 feet (roughly 200 meters) which makes it the perfect choice for water sports. If you can afford “the best” then this Casio G-Shock is probably the watch for you!
A little less expensive than the G-Shock, this Luminox Evo Navy Seal Blackout watch is one of the best tactical watches out there. You should be sure to read all warranty information first – Amazon offers a separate warranty than the actual manufacturer and that has potentially slipped past some buyers in the past. On the other hand, most users who reviewed this watch had no problems with it whatsoever.
If you enjoy stealthy sports like paintball or airsoft then this is probably the best watch for you since it will be dark and will not attract attention to you in the dark. It is likely a favourite of hunters for that same reasoning. Almost the entire watch is black, the dial the numbers, casing and band – however the hands have a white strip to make them easily read at a glance and there are white “indicators” between the hour and minute markers.
As far as extra features, this watch is pretty basic only having traditional date and time features – which run on Swiss quartz movement. The cover is made of scratch resistant glass and the band is made of a rubber material that fits comfortably and it is water resistant up to 600 feet (200 meters).
While the Traser watch is rather simple compared to some of these tactical watches, it is a little more stylish than others. This would likely be the kind of watch you wore if you were going out with friends or family before or after a long day of outdoor fun. The classic analog display is easily readable with its white numerical values on a black dial.
If you are not a fan of the rubber or resin bands that come on most tactical watches then you may like the fact that this watch comes with a leather and nylon band. The cover is made of mineral crystal that is virtually un-scratch-able, which means you don’t have to worry about your nice watch being ruined by rough play!
The watch runs on Swiss quartz movement – similar to most other tactical analog watches – however unlike the others on this list it is only water resistant up to 100 feet (roughly 30 meters). It offers a date function – however this is the only additional function of this watch – but this watch is more about style and ease-of-use rather than being multifunctional.
Headed back to Casio – because everyone should be able to afford a great watch – we’re taking a look at the GA100-1A1. This watch is black and offers a unique analog display with chronograph features for the most accurate time keeping. It also features a time and date in a unique manner since it has an auto-calendar that is pre-programmed all the way to year 2099!
This watch is nice for people who might have family or work contacts who live in other countries (or other time zones within one country) as it offers a World Time feature complete with 29 time zones (a total of 48 cities) and the ability to choose a “home” time zone and city as well as swap back to the “world time”.
Each of these watches include some exceptional features – now that we’ve covered some of the best tactical watches, hopefully it will be easier to come to a final decision!http://www.amazon.com/Casio-GA100-1A1-Black-Quartz-Watch/dp/B003WPUU0U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1450807994&sr=8-2&keywords=best+tactical+watches
